Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Free Gallery Crawl Tonight

The Gallery Crawl is a free quarterly showcase of art and entertainment in the heart of the Cultural District. All events take place at a variety of galleries and spaces and are FREE and open to the public. The event is ongoing between 5:30 and 9:00 pm, and patrons may start at any location.

Support The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh, Encore on 7th Residents, at Glitzburgh 2012

Rachel Kernic and Anna DeLattre, residents of the Encore on 7th, came up with the idea for Glitzburgh in 2009 while watching the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. After the idea of planning a fashion show, they then realized how great it would be to link it to a charity. After meeting through a mutual friend, they then brought Dominic Janidas to the Glitzburgh team. Together, the three of them came up with the name Glitzburgh: Glamour Meets Giving, A Black & Gold Affair and chose Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh as their choice for a charity. The first show was in May of 2010, where the Glitzburgh team raised $14,000 their first year for Children's. After receiving tremendous support from local Pittsburgh athletes and celebrities, including James Harrison from the Pittsburgh Steelers, and building a great following, the team was able to raise over $20,000 in 2011 at Glitzburgh at Whim in Station Square. The Glitzburgh team plans to keep the ball rolling every year with the show and hopes to keep doubling the amount they are able to raise for Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
